Privacy and Cookies

Tolvik Consulting Limited is committed to protecting the privacy of its website users under the UK’s Data Protection Act. To comply with the law, personal information will be collected and used fairly, stored safely and not disclosed to any other person unlawfully.

Collection of data

In line with the General Data Protection Regulations (2018) principles personal data will be:

  • obtained fairly and lawfully and be adequate, relevant but not excessive
  • obtained for a specific and lawful purpose
  • accurate and kept up to date
  • processed in accordance with the rights of data subjects

Any information that you provide to us will be used to carry out the action requested. For example, if you send us a message via our contact form or submit a Young Entrepreneur Scheme Application. Your personal details are not disclosed to any third parties. You can later request to have this information modified or removed from our systems. 

Any personal data that we hold from enquiries or applications are stored electronically and can only be accessed by designated employees of Tolvik. Any paper copies printed out from electronic files are kept in a locked office and shredded once no longer required.

We will review the data we hold on a regular basis, at least every 12 months, and will never retain personal data for longer than necessary.

Tolvik will ensure that the right procedures are in place to detect, report and investigate any personal data breach.

IP addresses and server logs

This site records IP addresses and produces server logs.  This information is used solely for monitoring the volume of traffic the site receives and measuring the number of visitors.  We do not use the information for tracking the activities of individual visitors to this site.

Use of cookies by this website

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit.  They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.  Any cookies that may be used by this website are used either solely on a per session basis or to maintain user preferences.  Cookies are not shared with any third parties.

PHPSESSID

This is an essential temporary cookie used to store data about your visit and any choices you make or data you enter.  This cookie is deleted when you close your browser.

Google Analytics cookies ( _utma, _utmb, _utmv, _utmz)

These cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our site.  We use the information to compile reports and to help us improve the site.  The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visit.  Read the Google Analytics privacy policy

Updating your details

You have the right to request for any personal information we may hold about you in our databases to be corrected or deleted. Any such requests, should be marked for the attention of The Data Protection Officer which as specified in our notification to the Information Commissioner is Adrian Judge.

Applicable law

This website and the use of it is governed by English law and English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any related disputes.
