Tolvik UK locationTolvik Consulting Limited was founded in 2009 to meet the needs of waste companies, public authorities and investors for independent analysis of the waste and bioenergy markets.

Tolvik has a wide customer base – over the last year it has worked for 25 different clients. Projects have ranged from a single days strategic consultancy advice to detailed due diligence over a number of months of a portfolio of waste assets on behalf of a high street bank.

Recognising that investors need to rely on Tolvik’s advice, Tolvik is able to offer Professional Indemnity cover of up to £10m for its due diligence work.

Adrian Judge, a director at Tolvik, has worked in a wide range of roles in the waste sector for the last 15 years. Most recently Adrian helped in the formation of the Green Investment Bank as Managing Director leading the Waste and Bioenergy team. He started his career in the industry as General Manager for a regional business at Cory Environmental before moving on to become Group Strategic Director responsible for seeing the £500m, 670,000 tonnes pa Riverside EfW to financial close. 

As a specialist independent consultancy, Tolvik is able to call upon the skills of a range of partners and associates to support in-house knowledge as and when required.

Neil Bailey – Contract Energy Services Limited

Neil Bailey logoNeil is a Chartered Gas Engineer with over 35 years’ experience in the Energy Sector. Neil spent 12 years with Dalkia leading a regional team responsible for new contract energy management business development and then moved to BP where he managed the divestment of BP Energy to Cofely before managing a £2.5b long-term gas contracts portfolio.  Neil then spent time with both RWE Npower as Head of Feedstock Management responsible for leading a team focused on the procurement of biomass and also latterly, Centrica, providing expert support in their drive to develop a number of large scale biomass merchant power plants.

Profu – Sweden

Profu logoProfu is an independent research and consultancy company in the areas of energy, environment and waste management. The company started in 1987 as an offspring of the research conducted at the Energy Systems Technology Division, Chalmers University of Technology. Their clients are energy companies, waste companies, municipalities and authorities such as e.g. the Swedish Energy Agency and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. They have also performed a large number of international projects for clients such as the Nordic Council of Ministers, the International Energy Agency and the European Union. Furthermore, they carry out extensive projects with a large number of stakeholders as well as small projects with a short duration. They have a solid knowledge of project leadership and project development.
