Adrian Judge presented to the German PPP (Public Private Partnership) Association at their meeting in Berlin on 12th November. The invite came in response to an increased interest amongst banks, particularly those historically engaged in PPP, in the European waste to energy sector.
For such institutions, fuel supply, particularly in the absence of a long term guaranteed contract underwritten by a municipality, is a key risk which needs to be understood.
The presentation considered general market developments and the need for due diligence to consider the specifics of individual markets.
